TMTA All-Star Festival
Students who score a Superior rating at a local event (such as ETMTA Fall Festival or Achievement Auditions) are eligilble to participate in the state All-Star Festival.
At the All-Star Festival during the convention, students perform their Superior rated piece for a collegiate student and receive a critique sheet as well as potentially a gold or silver medal.
Look at all those medals!!
Congratulations to Keri, Rhiannon, Tracy, Tiernan, and Austin on a job well done.
Sebastian and Leslie performed in an earlier All-Star recital and also earned medals but I didn't have my camera ready for the photo op.

Music Projects are exhibited in the Exhibit Hall
Sebastian presented this wonderful Convention Music Project entitled "The Music that Moves Me".
He interviewed various friends and family members about the music they enjoyed as children. Their answers represented music from the 1930's, 40's, 50's, etc all the way to music of today.
Next to each interview synopsis is a photo of Sebastian and his friend doing a dance of that era like the Twist, the Bump, the Moon Walk and Mr. Roboto!
In addition to gaining great memories and musical information, Sebastian also received a certiciate and ribbon from the state and has earned an additional point toward scholarship money when he graduates high school!!
Any student is eligible to present a Music Project for the 2012 convention (and you don't even have to attend convetion....but who would want to miss it?!) Students can work individually or with a group of other SDPS students on any musical topic they choose. Get your creative juices flowing...
