* Students participate at their particular skill level from Early Elementary to Advanced. *Functional Skills include technique, harmonization, and sight-reading. * Performance Skills include two memorized pieces performed for a Festival Judge. *Students receive a rating from A to C for each of the five skills (technique, harmonization, sight-reading and two performance pieces). *Each A is awarded a Blue Ribbon. Each B is awarded a Red Ribbon. Each C is awarded a White Ribbon. *Students amassing 5 red ribbons receive a trophy. *Approximately twenty students are selected each year for an Honors Recital. |
